Introduction to Self-Rescue For Climbers 1-Day
Learn the skills necessary to implement a single-pitch rock rescue. This course offers the tools needed to take care of the problem before it becomes a institutional rescue. Truly a must have skill set for all climbers.
Skills taught but not limited to:
- Knots and hitches for rescue scenarios
- Hands free systems
- Escaping the belay and belay takeover
- Rescue raises (3:1) and lowers
- Ascending the rope
- Counter-balanced rescue
- Risk manangement for rescue avoidance
Climbers will benefit with prior climbing experience, solid rope handling skills.
