Self-Rescue For Climbers 1-Day

Learn the skills necessary to implement a single-pitch rock rescue. This course offers the tools needed to take care of the problem before it becomes an institutional rescue. Truly a must have skill set for all climbers.

Skills taught but not limited to:

  • Knots and hitches for rescue scenarios
  • Hands free systems
  • Escaping the belay and belay takeover
  • Rescue raises (3:1) and lowers
  • Ascending the rope
  • Counter-balanced rescue
  • Risk manangement for rescue avoidance

Course Prerequisites:
Climbers will benefit with prior climbing experience, solid rope handling skills.

Equipment Provided:
All ropes and anchors systems  for self rescue systems. Download our gear list for participants required equipment.
